Rural image with animals, fruits & grains, a tractor & rising sun with a plaque where winners name would be engraved. Bronze, 54mm by Stokes, Melb. C-1936/9. Prepared for the 1937 Sydney Show planned to celebrate the coronation of Edward VIII in May 1937 which never took place as he abdicated to marry Mrs Wallis Simpson in December 1936. Few minor spots, gEF. Very scarce. The Museum of Victoria website identifies this medal as being for NSW despite similar medal being identified as Victorian. (P)
